Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek Education

Education as an Anishinaabemowin student —

We believe in educating the whole being not just the mind. At Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabe (BZA) Education Authority. we are here to teach and support our students mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. We’re here to create an environment of equality and inclusivity when it comes to education.

Led by a by a qualified team, we challenge our students to become better human beings. We emphasize the Seven Grandfather teachings throughout all our programming and lessons. Gwayakwaadiziwin (Honesty), Zaagi’idiwin (Love), M’naadendamowin (Respect) ,Aakode’ewin (Courage), Debaadendiziwin (Humility), N’bwaakaawin (Wisdom), and Debwewin (Truth). We encourage each student to learn about the anishinaabe culture, and they receive lessons for living off the land, as our grandfathers’ and grandmothers’ done over the years.
